Woodstock, on the Thames River, is a manufacturing city settled in 1798. The Woodstock Museum (formerly the City Hall) in Museum Square was designed after the town hall in Woodstock, England. The bell tower of Old St. Paul's Anglican Church, 723 Dundas St., served as a jail during the Mackenzie Rebellion of 1837.
