Enjoy some local songs with the locals while you learn to inflict yourself on the local tunes. There are several traditional rhythms that make up the Djembe repertoire, and our classes introduce you to a number of these rhythms, which are then developed and expanded upon as you make more progress. These traditional rhythms were first played to commemorate traditional festivals and important ceremonial occasions but are now played for entertainment as well. We are confident that following these encounters, you will be skilled at playing an instrument, and who knows, you can buy something suitable to keep you busy back home whenever you wish...
