The Missouri River flows quietly alongside I-29 as you leave Sioux City. A large, obelisk sits atop a hillside east of the highway, marking the burial site of Sgt. Charles Floyd, the only man to die on the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Quiet countryside awaits you on the journey to Logan. The highlight is Preparation Canyon State Park, where you can hike atop the loess dunes to see a panorama of this unique landscape.
