The Hotel At Fifth Avenue

The room was clean and we saw no problems on that front. Our thermostat was a little off but we managed since we were only there a few days. The hotel has a rooftop bar which is super cute! There was a bouncer checking ID at the front and a little bar area, then off to the side is an open space with a view of the Empire State Building! The drinks were delicious albeit a little pricey. I paid less for a drink at a speakeasy that had sorbet as a topping(it was more experimental and innovative so I would have expected those drinks to be more). The staff was fantastic as far as being helpful and responsive. I am pretty sure it is because we had a larger group staying in a suite, but there seemed to be an issue, on more than one occasion, with receiving extras in the room. I am not sure though there were multiple instances we asked for extra pillows, blankets, or towels and they either didn’t come to the room or we had to exchange them out(give them our dirty towels for fresh ones). It was a bit of an inconvenience since the room only came with 4 body towels but the room holds (and did hold) 6 people. The room had a pull out couch but it here weren’t any extra pillows nor blankets for a person/people sleeping on the pullout couch. There were minor inconveniences but overall it was a VERY nice hotel, the check in and check out was super simple and quick, and the rooftop bar was adorable! There was a gym (we did not use) and a water dispenser and coffee near the gym at the basement level. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. The bellhop was super nice and energetic. I was visiting for my birthday weekend and he said happy birthday to me every single time he saw me over the course of that weekend! There was a PLETHORA of food and drink and bar options in the area. I would recommend this hotel again, just maybe to smaller party sizes!
