I stayed here 2 days over the Memorial Day weekend. Before booking, I confirmed with reservations the following amenities: pool hours, breakfast buffet, ect. The representative from reservations confirmed the pool was open for the season. On Saturday, I got to enjoy a bit of being poolside before going out for the evening. After returning from some Sunday morning shopping, I was shocked to see the pool empty of all guests and gates closed. To my disappointment, the front desk manager said the pool was not opening until after the holiday because of maintenance / chemical issues. I explained how I was not aware of this before booking given that reservations confirmed the pool was open. I also stated how me and my group as well as other guests were in the pool on Saturday and if that would have any heath concerns for us. The manager’s response basically was that reservations doesn’t have proper information to give out since they are not personally on site. Also before checking out on Monday, I visited breakfast buffet but was stunned to see mold on the bread / pastries section… enough to make me lose my appetite. Honestly, I felt slightly misled into booking given that the main reason I choose this hotel was for the outside patio (including grill and fireplace) and pool. With the pool not being in service, I would have choose other accommodations in the area. I’ll give my stay 2 stars for large size rooms, great area with many great bars / restaurants and friendly housekeepers.
