Motel 6 Burlington - Colchester

Normally I'd say you get what you pay for, but in this case, I didn't. I held no illusions about the room. Motel 6 is never to be confused with a high end establishment, but still. Not ideal, especially in today's market. There was some confusion regarding the room type I wanted. Once that was sorted out, I made my way to the room. 3rd floor, no ice machine or vending machine, plus a request to "not put anything smelly in the trash". The room had the minimum requirements: A bed and a bathroom. The Tv was located above the space that doubled as a closet. There was neither a microwave or mini fridge in the room. The "desk" was a piece of wood attached to the wall, while the chairs were refugees from a 1980's classroom in both style and comfort. The bed was, without a doubt, the softest I've been on in years. It was a miracle I got any sleep. The towels in the bathroom were the polar opposite of plush, thin and rough. Not that I ever use the stuff hotels provide, I take note of what's there. In this instance, just unbranded soap. 2 tiny bars of it. The tub was in the shape of a sort of modified triangle. Not sure why it was that way but it was. Felt awkward to say the least. The hotel provides coffee in the lobby in the morning. Juice is available in a vending machine. There were other things (pool and laundry) that I can't comment on as I did not use them.
