Arrived to find hotel overbooked. In addition to not having my room, they were also unable to help me get lodging at one of the other 4 or so la Quinta’s in Lubbock, let alone other Wyndham hotels. I had driven I had been on the road for 12 hours from Colorado,, part of it through a thunderstorm, with two six year olds and my elderly father only to find myself in the la Quinta parking lot calling hotels to try to find one that wasn’t sold out at 11;45 on a Saturday night. I can handle the computer glitch that allowed them to overbook, but to not help me find a place elsewhere was unacceptable. I’ve been in the service industry over 30 years and I’m usually pretty empathetic, but because of this situation I’ll never stay at another la Quinta. I’m *still* waiting for my refund!
