If possible, I would have made it 3 1/2 stars. It has a good location within easy a few blocks of the wharf and a trolley stop is in front. However, it is near the Lighthouse thoroughfare and noisy if you opened a window or the balcony door. We were on the fourth (top) floor but there was no view. The room was fine; the hot water hot. :) The continental buffet was fine, seating more than ample. Apparently, they had moved it to the meeting rooms area from a smaller area over the office. The two people working the breakfast were everywhere making sure nothing ran short and tables kept clean. Underground parking was tight, and cost $20+ a night (which was not mentioned on their website. [ACSC employee did forewarn me that their might me. Thumbs up to her.] It did not rain but the condensation formed pools on walkways which were coated to prevent slipping. One morning we found part of the coating chipped away. By whom??? We didn't report it, but the debris was gone a few hours later. Oh, and the elevator in the Del Monte section screeched and rumbled between the 3rd and 4th floors. We weren't sure, but it made it. The hotel has two spas, but both were supposedly being repaired. No pool. Overall, the hotel is aging and needs more than cosmetic help.
It's an older hotel. Underground parking garage--$20 daily fee. Cont. breakfast was quite nice. Mixed feelings about the place. TV access was confusing and a problem getting any station--had to call front desk. The room had breakfast nook, bathtub and separate shower. Private patio area. Nice. Slightly musty smell due to bldg being quite old. Close to wharf and Cannery Row. If you want to be close to downtown, location is great. If you like modern, reliable conveniences you might choose a different place.
