Modern guest units have dark colored furniture, a triple-sheet bedding package and pod-style coffeemakers. Unusual for this hotel brand, the hotel offers extensive meeting room space with full banquet facilities and a modern fitness facility overlooking the pool. 5/1/2023 This hotel was under construction. Warning to all-call before you book. We were assigned a designated handicap room overlooking the elevator shaft inside of the building without access to natural light. Yes, they’re are rooms with no outside access in an emergency. We asked for reassignment. We were told that nothing was available. We requested a new room for the next day. After settling in the room at approximately midnight , we received a call that there was a room available if we came down immediately with our bags. I asked the room number of the new room. The agent said that she did not know. Puzzled as to how one has a room but is unaware of its number, I asked her to find out. She declined, repeating that if we came down now, they would reassign us and that it was an upgrade. Not trusting this scenario given that this available room was suddenly discovered after we had left the lobby and was unknown, we weighed that, while the room could likely not get worse, a room with no access to natural light was also an unanticipated scenario. We declined as those who would place IHG club members in such a room would have no problem doing worse. We chose the devil we knew. I do not recommend this hotel due to its management. There appears to be an immediate inclination to deny requests and to deceive customers. To ask a customer to return to the front desk after midnight with all of their belongings to some unknown destination was egregiously unprofessional and certainly unwelcoming.. I will leave it to the professionals to determine whether placing customers in a room without access to outdoors is a potential violation of law much less placing a handicapped person in such a room.
