My stay at the Hilton Myrtle Beach was an extremely unpleasant experience. From the moment of entry, there were multiple noticeable issues that significantly impacted my overall impression. The front door sensor was visibly broken, and there were marks on the walls and door frame. Additionally, I noticed red stains on the ceiling near the microwave. The condition of the bathrooms was particularly disappointing. The grout in the bathroom at the entry was disgusting, and the bathroom in the bedroom was even worse. The grout and tile were in an appalling state, with clear demarcations between clean and dirty areas, appearing completely black. The magnify mirror had rust on its base, and the iron board, which I nicknamed "ole Rusty," was rusted underneath and made noise when used. Furthermore, the toilet seat was loose and askew to one side, the door lock button protruded out, and the safe stopped working, popping open and leaving us with no secure place to store our valuables. Additionally, there was a rusted vent cover and a red stain on the wall. The shower stall was filthy, with grim buildup at the base. Moving to the living area, all surfaces of the sofas and chairs were stained, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. In the sleeping area, I discovered that the main vent was surrounded by black mold, and there were red stains on the carpet. Even the doors throughout the room had cracks, dings, chipped paint around the frame and on the doors. To top it all off, there was a lack of attention to detail evident throughout the room. Mismatched plates were placed around the thermostat, sprinkler head, and smoke detector, with some being off-white, further highlighting the disregard for maintenance and upkeep. Overall, my experience at the Hilton Myrtle Beach was nothing short of an unpleasant and disappointing stay, marred by numerous issues and a lack of cleanliness and maintenance.
Hello. Thank you very much for taking time to supply feedback about your recent stay. We’re disappointed to hear about your negative experience. Your feedback will help other travelers as they make informed booking decisions.
We had to change rooms 3 times in 4 days. First room was overlooking a tar roof with noisy air conditioning exhaust blowers. Second room did not have air conditioning at all! Third room was finally decent, but it's a big inconvenience to constantly complain and change rooms. Front desk is not trained properly. I went there to change a $20 for the valet (gratuity) and they told me to get change from Starbucks, without even looking me in the eye. Really?? I wouldn't stay here again.
