Previous Hampden inn stays, elsewhere, had me expecting and paying for a slightly higher level of hotel for my family and pup. Aging bathrooms, lackluster attention to repair, burned out bulbs (Who should be replacing those. Management? Clearly you aren't encouraging your staff to own the product you are offering. I caught a verbal exchange between a manager/owner and a teen employee, adding in the mgr walking away, while telling the employee to wear their name tag in such a "gotcha" voice, I saw immediately why this isn't a hotel at its best. I suggest mgt visit West Des Moines Hampden Inn and Suites, if they want to up their game.
