This European-run property has a warm, contemporary Irish atmosphere. A beautiful Waterford crystal chandelier graces the lobby and rooms are spacious, with many suites that are finely furnished. Popular with Irish government and business people visiting New York, the hotel hosts many dignitaries, including luminaries past and present who come in for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on nearby Fifth Avenue. There is a very comfortable bar and restaurant attached which serves a perfect pint of Guinness Stout. Some rooms have deep soaking bathtubs. Luxury department store shopping and some of the East Side's most vibrant and fashionable restaurants are just a short walk away. Foreign consulates from around the world line the nearby streets, while corporate offices of many leading companies are nearby on Park Avenue.
