Excellent spacious and overall clean hotel

Our first time staying at Embassy based on family recommendation while there for a funeral. We are Marriott members and found the experience with your hotel - poor and totally not worth the higher price than the less expensive Marriotts we've stayed at. POSITIVE: The rooms were clean, working safe, hair dryer. NEGATIVE: 1) Ran out of TP, kleenex and coffee almost immediately. I know we could have called guest services but it is such a pain to coordinate when we will be in the room to receive the items when we were in the area for a funeral and out most of the time. Having to hunt down the basic necessities was NOT on our priority list. Why aren't your rooms stocked for the length of stay your customers will be using them. 2) There were a few huge groups of kids that were staying there at the same time. This clogged up the elevator and extended the response time of the elevators AND only one elevator (of 3) was working during our stay. the increase in customers also clogged up the breakfast area. It was a zoo and even caused us delay in checking out in time. Have working elevators for increased visitors and provide a better process at breakfast to accommodate increased customer levels. 3) the AAA site did NOT indicate that parking was PAID at this location. that was a surprise charge and one I called the front desk about. they claimed to have credited our account for $20 but to date it has never been credited. The lot is only a surface lot just like you would park at any retail outlet yet Embassy charged us $10 a day to park a car? we could have parked at the closest restaurant for free! 4) the rooms layout was meh. while i liked the option of a "living area" with TV away from the bedrooms, and I liked the bedroom in the back of the space, I didn't like the way the rooms all faced the atrium/main lobby area with people constantly walking past your room with increaed noise. I also didn't like the fact there was no additional space for two people to get ready at the same time. when one person is in the shower, there should be another counter/space/good lighting for another person to continue getting ready (using the toilet, shaving,makeup, hair etc). when someone is using the shower, the other person cannot continue to get ready until the person is out of the shower. getting ready takes 2x as long. AND where do two people put towels to dry when staying multiple days? there are NO towel racks so towels can dry AND to ID who's towel is who's to reuse during the stay!! frustrating and very poor set up.

The bathroom in suite 305 was not furnished with towels plus the drain in the tub was clogged and black piece’s coming out of it. It was gross. I stayed one night sand it was a thanksgiving day so I didn’t really want to spend more time arguing about it.
