Courtyard by Marriott Providence-Warwick

Tried to find a room that didn’t have chemical fragrance sprayed.. as some have asthma issues. The resolve was to provide an ADA room with a sliding window that opened 6 inches, to provide outdoor air. I had to climb upon the edge of bathtub to lower the shower head which pointed toward back of tub. The hand held shower head seemed out of order. Seeing a notice in elevator that I’d need to see Manager to see a Certificate of Inspection approval of elevator safety was not at all comforting.

Was supposed to be coffee and breakfast. There was neither at 6:40am

Extremely difficult to find at night... roadside sign was unlite and desk clerk was not helpful directing us when we called. She kept saying we could see it, it was right in front of us - but with no lights is could not be seen from the road. Also the cafe was advertised on-line as being open until 10 but when we arrived (dinner-less after a cross-country flight) at 9:45 "the machines had been turned off" and the cafe was "closed". In contrast, we had a delicious "cooked to order" breakfast" the next morning.Courtyard by Marriott.

I got a drink at the bar and asked for Bailey's on the rocks. After sipping it and THEN getting the bill, I noticed that the bartender charged me $6.00 for the rocks, total $17.00 for the drinks. When I questioned her, she just shrugged. I could have added my own ice! The next day I complained at the desk. Because I paid by cash, they were not able to do anything for me. She said the person last night was new. Not an excuse! Rediculous!!!

Room was clean(had a few hairs in the shower but nothing offensive) had no issue checking in, staff was very nice. Like most hotels you don't get a lot for what your paying for. Not a lot of supplies, but there was a store nearby so I picked up some things. Biggest annoyance was where the TV was placed in the room. It was off to the side of the bed so you had to sit in your bed at an odd angle. I have chronic neck issues and this didn't help. The couch they have in the room is not comfortable so I couldn't use that. I mostly sat in the desk chair but who wants to sit in that for hours after traveling all day?. I wish they had more options for watching TV. They do have netflicks and a few other streaming channels but it would be nice if they had youtubeTV that I could sign into my own account and watch shows. It was sort of boring that night in my room not having a lot of options for watching stuff. Overall its a typical Marriott hotel, I needed a place to sleep over night and it did its job. Its seems like its in a nice location, right off from the interstate, plenty of places to eat in the area, and not far from Providence.

No housekeeping The toilet was broken, and it was flushing on its own many times during the night.　It was noisy.　 I told the front desk the next morning, but it wasn't fixed and housekeeping was not done either.
