After I checked in and paid I was given my room key. The room was clearly not cleaned since the used sheets were still on the bed. The receptionist was very apologetic and gave me another key. As walked to the new room I noticed how unkempt the carpets were, as in needing to be vacuumed. The same of the elevator. Also, the deodorizer smell of the corridor was very strong. I returned to the desk and said I was embarrassed, but felt uncomfortable staying and could I get a refund. The receptionist said I could, but it was the manager that would take care of it. I asked for the manager's business card, but there wasn't one. I called the hotel twice after I left but was told he/she would be in the next day. No one offered to take a message from me or ask the manager to call me. I hoped to receive a refund, but that has not happened yet. I definitely would not recommend this location.

The hotel was close to the sights we wanted to explore, staff friendly, breakfast was great. The only issue we had was are room was designed for a disabled individual. The bathroom shower floor was curved for the water to flow out of the shower stall made a mess when taking a shower. We had to lay a couple of towels on the floor to absorb the water so it would not go into the hallway.

The hotel was nice and clean. The problem is they put us in a room across from the breakfast room and pool. It was awful. Kids running and screaming down the halls, VERY LOUD people in the breakfast room until the wee hours of the morning. A nightmare. Called front desk - woman said she would ask them to wind down. If she did, they never respected her request. Finally quiet and then pots and pans being rattled in the room to prepare for breakfast. Had a very long drive the next day on no sleep. A really horrific night. We learned from this to request rooms far away. They had us booked in the same type room in Holiday Inn on the way home and were sold out so they couldn't change it. We left and went to the Hampton Inn a couple doors down. My suggestion is, when AAA travel calls to book rooms, request room away from exits, elevators, ice machines, breakfast room and pool.
