The welcoming lobby and guest rooms at this hotel feature a homelike vibe and a country décor. In the warmer months relax in comfortable rocking chairs on the front porch. Smoke free premises. 70 units, some two bedrooms. 3 stories, interior corridors.

At check in we were told that both the pool and ice machine were broken. It was okay, we could go without ice and not use rhe pool anyway. The smell of cigarette smoke hit us as soon as we opened the door to the room, even though all rooms are "no smoking". The smoke had probably permeated the carpet which had cigarette stains. There was a peanut in the pull out couch. I didn't look any further. There was no soap in the bathroom and so we asked for some at the front desk but was told they had none because an order had not come in. The bath mat was dirty. I intended to use a washcloth in the shower in the morning but when I brought to the shower it was filthy. We did not even try to stay for the breakfast.

The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of the breakfast. I was hoping to have a hot breakfast of eggs, breakfast meat and maybe potatoes. The biscuits and gravy just doesn’t cut it for me.
