Baymont by Wyndham Pompton Plains/Wayne

I'm not sure how this place got a good AAA rating but it's a damn shame. It's duped a hotel but it really looks/feels like a motel. I don't recommend this place to nobody, if I could rate this a 1 star review, I would. When I first arrived at the hotel & went to check in, I was welcomed by the smell of a dirty, wet carpet and old cigarette smell (when someone smokes a lot in a enclosed space). I'm not sure if it came from the carpet or walls of the property. I was given the key to room number 150. When I finally arrived to my room the first thing I noticed is that it smelled like an old damp & dark basement. It reeked of moisture, mold & mildew. Let me just say that I was exhausted beyond belief, after driving for almost 5 hours straight all I wanted was some sleep. I didn't say nothing about changing the room cause I was too tired and didn't have the energy to do anything. The following morning I also noticed there were ants in the room. I then checked the bathroom and sure enough there was mold on the wall/ceiling above the bathtub. I informed the staff at checkout and just got a half-***** apology. This is by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I will never go back to this place, not even if they paid me. Do not go stay there, it's not worth it. Triple AAA you need to do better cause this is definitely not it.

The breakfast was great, the room was good had two queen beds and a mini fridge, plenty of parking available.

The staff was wonderful and everything looked really clean, but, the shower dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and wash were empty and the bed linens had holes and signs of extreme wear.
