Situated in Noida, a suburb of Delhi, Worlds of Wonder is a popular spot for families looking for some theme park fun. It consists of a ride-filled amusement park with more than 20 rides, a water park full of slides and pools, and plenty of special attractions geared toward even the smallest of guests.
The basics
Attractions in the amusement park section include thrilling rides that spin and drop, roller coasters, and bumper cars. The La Fiesta section is geared to children shorter than 36 inches (90 centimeters) tall and includes a merry-go-round, toy train, and swings. The waterpark section caters to an equally diverse crowd, with splash areas for little ones and thrilling slides, including a vertical drop slide, for older guests.
Things to know before you go
Worlds of Wonder is a must-visit for families staying in Noida or Delhi, particularly in the hot summer.
Outside food is not allowed, but plenty of cafés and snack bars are in the park.
You'll need a nylon or Lycra swimsuit to access the water attractions, and saris and lungis cannot be worn on some of the thrill rides due to potential safety risks.
How to get there
Worlds of Wonder is in Noida, a suburb located east of Delhi in the National Capital Region (NCR). The easiest way to get to the park is by taxi, particularly if you’re coming from Delhi, as not all autorickshaw drivers will take you to the park. Delhi Transit Corporation bus No. 34 connects the park to elsewhere in Noida and locations across South Delhi.
When to get there
The park is open daily from early afternoon until evening and is busiest on weekends and holidays. The best time to visit if you just want to go on rides is between October and March when the weather is pleasant and dry, but expect pollution if you visit in fall after the Diwali festivities. March–May high temperatures are ideal for visiting water attractions.
Delhi and the NCR for Families
The Delhi area offers plenty to keep kids busy. Let your little ones run around the expansive grassy areas at Central Delhi's Lodhi Gardens, or take them to see the creatures at South Delhi's Deer Park. Other popular spots include the Delhi Railway Museum, where you can climb aboard vintage locomotives, and Gurgaon's Kingdom of Dreams, a massive entertainment complex with live shows and a central food hall.
