View at the Palm

The Palm Tower, Palm Jumeirah Road, Dubai, OMN

Dubai has no shortage of magnificent views, but there’s no better place to admire the famous Palm Jumeirah island than the aptly named View at the Palm. Zip up to level 52 of the Palm Tower and walk out to the 360-degree panoramic observation deck, which looks out over the palm-shaped, man-made islands and the glittering waters of the Arabian Gulf.

There are various ticket options available for View at the Palm. General admission tickets grant access to the 52nd-floor observation deck, while fast-track tickets provide access to the open-air viewing deck on the 54th floor. Other ticket tiers (including VIP passes) include drinks, lunch, afternoon tea, or dinner with a view. It’s also possible to combine a visit to View at the Palm with a guided tour of Palm Jumeirah or modern Dubai, access to the Sky View Observatory, or round-trip private transport from your Dubai hotel.

  • Architecture enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Palm Tower—the gleaming mirrored tower sits amid the famous Palm Jumeirah islands.
  • There are three restaurants on the 52nd floor: Mediterranean restaurant and cocktail bar, Coucou Dubai; Italian restaurant, Lolli; and French café Madeleine et Marcel.
  • Child tickets are available for under 12s, and children under four get in for free.
  • The View at the Palm is reached by high-speed elevator and is fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.

View at the Palm is located at the center of the Palm Jumeirah islands, about a 10-minute drive (depending on traffic) from Dubai Marina. You can also ride the monorail to Nakheel Mall, which is a few minutes’ walk away.

The tower is open daily year-round, and opening hours are typically 9am to 8.30pm, with the final entry at 7.30pm. The most memorable views take place around sunset from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, depending on the season, and this is always the busiest time to visit. If you want to avoid the crowds, visit early on a weekday morning. Advance bookings are always recommended, especially if you want to visit at a specific time.

The man-made archipelago of Palm Jumeirah is one of Dubai’s most photographed sights, shaped like a gigantic palm tree that fans out into the Persian Gulf. It’s more than just an architectural marvel, though. The world’s largest artificial island is also home to sandy beaches, luxury beach clubs, glamorous hotels and restaurants, and attractions such as the huge Nakheel Mall, the Palm Jumeirah Boardwalk, and the unique Burj Al Arab Hotel.
