How to Get There

The most convenient way to reach Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, located about 15 minutes from Downtown Quebec City, is by car. Parking is available at the foot of the waterfall, or during the summer, on the Boischatel side of the park. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle from Old Québec City; several tour operators run shuttles directly to the falls.

When to Get There

The park is accessible year round, but you’ll get the most out of your visit if you stop by during Quebec's warmest months—June, July, and August. Expect more crowds on weekends and during national holidays. To avoid the crowds, pre-book a spot on a weekday Via Ferrata experience.

How to Bike to Parc de la Chute-Montmorency

If you're up for an adventurous day, plan to bike from Quebec City to this historic park. Start your day by renting a bike, then head to the waterfront Corridor du Littoral bike path. This paved, waterfront path has separated bike lanes, so it's an easy, safe ride all the way to the falls. When you arrive, find a dedicated cyclist access point, and a bike rack to lock up.
