Union Pacific Railroad Museum is 2 mi. n. off I-80 exit 3 westbound, exit 49 eastbound, e. on Willow, then s. to 200 Pearl St. Housed in a 1904 Beaux Arts-style Carnegie library, the museum chronicles the history of Union Pacific, from the building of its first transcontinental railroad up to modern-day railroad operations. Of interest are interactive exhibits, furnishings from Abraham Lincoln's funeral car, a locomotive simulator, a firearm and signal lantern collection and an exhibit about passenger travel featuring Union Pacific's collection of railroad china and silver service. Temporary exhibits also are featured. Family Night at the Museum offers activities and educational programs. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
