Tom Ridge Environmental Center is at 301 Peninsula Dr. at the entrance of Presque Isle State Park. The state-of-the-art facility was designed to be a green building with environmental-friendly features and includes 7,000 square feet of exhibit space. Two floors of exhibits and hands-on displays chronicle the natural history of the area. A 15-minute orientation film is shown in a 60-seat theater every 20 minutes. A 75-foot observation tower provides panoramic views of Lake Erie. The Big Green Screen, a 4-story, 45-foot-wide giant screen theater, presents science and entertainment films. Changing exhibits are offered throughout the year. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
