The Troll Hole Museum

The Troll Hole Museum celebrates all things troll doll, with a world-record-holding collection of more than 20,000 troll items, from troll dolls stacked floor to ceiling to sculptures and artworks. Through its exhibits and themed rooms, which feature waterfalls and grottoes, the museum explores the cultural history of these popular toys.
The museum offers guided 45-minute tours throughout the day. These cover the history of trolls, from ancient folklore and mythology to the spiky-haired toy that enjoyed huge popularity in the 1960s and ‘70s. You’ll see all the main attractions, including the waterfalls, grottoes, troll bridge, and troll mountain, as well as the Guinness World Record troll collection.
Alternatively, upgrade to receive a behind-the-scenes tour with Sherry, the collector and museum founder (also known as Sigrid the Troll Queen). These include a posttour drink at the café, with free samples of chocolates. Book in advance to secure your spot.

The Troll Hole Museum is located on East Main Street in downtown Alliance, Ohio. From Canton, it is a 30-minute drive on US Route 62E or a 1-hour ride on bus 139. Free parking is available at the museum.
The museum is open midmorning to midafternoon Friday through Sunday, with guided tours every hour. The museum hosts occasional events, such as comedy nights; check its website and social media for details.
Come hungry. Located inside the museum, the Grumpy Troll Café is a must-visit for those with a sweet tooth. It is known for its delicious Belgian waffles—notably the Elvis Troll, made with bacon, bananas, and peanut butter—churros, hot chocolate, and coffee drinks.
