Telfair Museums Jepson Center

207 W York St., Savannah, Georgia

A premier destination for arts enthusiasts, the Jepson Center (one of Savannah's Telfair Museums) is a cultural hub devoted to showcasing contemporary art. See diverse exhibitions that span genres, and visit TechSpace, a gallery devoted to digital art. Family days, talks, and guided tours are offered regularly.

As one of the three Telfair Museum sites, the Jepson Center links the museum's historical institutions to its present with forward-thinking art exhibitions and interactive spaces. Visit the museum while exploring Savannah's Historic District, or pair a visit with stops at the other Telfair institutions. Families will enjoy the ArtZeum, an interactive museum space designed for kids, and aspiring artists can try one of the museum's classes, offered to both adults and children.

  • The museum is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts.

  • Architecture fans will also appreciate the museum building, designed by Moshe Safdie.

  • Pre-book admission online to access the Jepson Center, the Telfair Academy, and the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters on one ticket.

  • The Jepson Museum buildings and gallery spaces are wheelchair accessible.

  • Kids age 5 and under enter for free; kids aged 6–12 are admitted at a discounted rate.

  • Seniors receive discounted admission.

The most convenient way to visit the Jepson Center is to drive. The museum is located in Savannah's Historic District, between West York Avenue and West Oglethorpe Avenue. Parking is available on the street and at the Robinson parking garage, just west of the Jepson Center on Montgomery and York Streets.

The Jepson Center is open every day, with shortened hours on Sunday and Monday. The museum is closed on major holidays. Plan to visit early in the week to avoid crowds.

Visitors to the Jepson Center shouldn't miss stops at the other two Telfair Museums, the Telfair Academy, and the Owens-Thomas House and Slave Quarters. Both are located within walking distance. Admission to one museum offers access to all three—and tickets are valid for one week after purchase—so you can opt to visit them all in one day or spread them out over the course of your trip.
