Sunny Beach Luna Park

The basics

Bumper cars and roller coasters can be found alongside a haunted house and other typical amusement park attractions at Sunny Beach Luna Park. All but the biggest amusement park fans should find one hour here long enough to try a few attractions. After you’ve worn yourself out, you can choose among the restaurants, bars, and clubs that line many of the park’s surrounding streets and continue your evening.

Things to know before you go

• There is no entry fee for Sunny Beach Luna Park; you pay for individual rides or purchase a package such as the Happy Hour package.

• Some rides are unsuitable for children, but many attractions are aimed at kids.

• The park is good for spontaneous travelers as you can come and go as you please.

How to get there

Just one street back from the beachfront, Sunny Beach Luna Park is an easy place to walk to when you're already in the center of Sunny Beach. Those coming from the outer areas of Sunny Beach or nearby Nessebar can take the bus to the Sunny Beach bus station; from there, it’s a 10-minute walk. If driving to the park, you’ll find multiple parking lots and garages in the surrounding blocks.

When to get there

Sunny Beach Luna Park is open daily in summer from the early evening into the night. As the amusement park is only open for peak tourist season, expect it to be busy much of the time, although it may be quieter at the start and end of the season. Families should aim to visit before around 8pm as the atmosphere tends to shift as the partygoers and clubbers emerge.

Amusement parks near Sunny Beach

Unlike Sunny Beach Luna Park, most amusement parks near Sunny Beach are water parks. Action Aquapark is a sizeable, family-friendly water park at the northern end of Sunny Beach. Over towards Nessebar, there is the Mini-Aquapark Pirates of Caribbean, which provides an all-inclusive package with food and drinks. However, the largest of these Black Sea water parks is Aquapark Nessebar, home to 38 water slides to zoom down.
