Sun World Danang Wonders

The Da Nang city outpost of the popular Vietnamese theme-park group, Sun World Danang Wonders sprawls along the Han River. The theme park features rides such as roller coasters, carousels, drop towers, and a giant fairground wheel, while the cultural park highlights Asian architecture through scale models of famous buildings.
Travelers generally visit Sun World Danang Wonders from Da Nang city and the surrounding resort areas, although it’s also an easy day trip from Hoi An. Tickets are reasonably priced, and children under 3 feet 3 inches (100 centimeters) go free, while kids up to 4 feet 7 inches (140 centimeters) qualify for children’s tickets. The park spans a whopping 215 acres (87 hectares) and offers a range of food and beverage options. Be aware that not all staff speak English.
Sun World Danang Wonders is a great family choice.
Wear practical shoes as the park is enormous.
Bring sunscreen if visiting during daylight hours.
The park is wheelchair-accessible, but rides are not adapted. Travelers who rely on wheelchairs will want to focus on the cultural area of the park.
Sun World Danang Wonders is located on the shores of the Han River in Da Nang, about 3 miles (5 kilometers) south of the Dragon Bridge. City buses 6A, 8, and 11 stop within a 5-minute walk of the park, but travelers staying in the resort areas will likely want to book a tour that includes door-to-door transfers.
Sun World Danang Wonders opens from midafternoon until late in the evening, seven days a week. At quieter times, some rides can be closed, so aim to visit on a weekend unless it’s Da Nang’s peak season (roughly May through August) or the Tet Lunar New Year holiday period.
There are two Sun World parks in the Da Nang area: Sun World Danang Wonders, in the city proper, and Sun World Ba Na Hills, about 27 miles (43 kilometers) inland. Sun World Ba Na Hills boasts the much-Instagrammed Golden Bridge, suspended between two giant hands. The resort is themed as a European castle and, while more compact than Danang Wonders, offers a decent range of rides.
