St. Ninian Cathedral is at 121 St. Ninian St. Completed in 1874, the cathedral is constructed of local limestone and sandstone in Roman Basilica style. Highlights include impressive hand-painted frescoes, high Gothic ceilings, handsome woodwork and two square towers that rise 38 metres (125 ft.). A painting of St. Ninian, completed in the 1850s, is in the rear of the cathedral.
