POINT OF INTEREST

Seattle Cruise Port

2001 W Garfield St., Seattle, Washington

A busy United States cruise terminal in the Pacific Northwest, the Seattle Cruise Port is a gateway to the lively coastal city. There are two different ports of entry at Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal—at Pier 66 and the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91. Either way, you're a few minutes away from the heart of Seattle.

Travelers docking at Seattle Cruise Port typically head out on a sightseeing tour to experience some of the city’s highlights, such as the fishmongers at Pike Place Market and the panoramic views from the Space Needle as well as the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood.

If you have extra time, spend it wandering through Pioneer Square. A short 10- to 12-minute walk from Pike Place Market, this neighborhood features the area’s top art galleries, coffee shops, and trendy bars and is rich in Romanesque Revival architecture from the late-1800s.

  • Wear lightweight, warm layers as weather can vary greatly in Seattle—even in a single day.
  • The city’s rainy season is Nov.–May, but precipitation is possible year round, so bring an umbrella or hooded raincoat.
  • After watching the fish counter employees toss salmon, wander into the market to see flower stands, cozy cafes, food stalls, and merchants selling jewelry, art, and souvenirs.

Depending on which pier you've dock at, there are a few ways to get into Seattle. From the Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal at Pier 66, it is a 10- to 20-minute walk to Pike Place Market and the rest of downtown Seattle. The Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91, however, is 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) north of the Bell Street terminal. And while some may prefer to walk, taking a rental car or hailing a cab will get you downtown faster.

All terminals are wheelchair accessible and offer convenient luggage storage and concierge service from 7:30am to 3:30pm on cruise days. Both terminals also have rental-car kiosks on site. The Bell Street terminal has a few restaurants and a recreational marina. English is the spoken language, and currency is the US dollar.
