SEA LIFE®Speyer, on the banks of the Rhine River, is an aquarium offering an interactive, educational glimpse of life under the sea. Here you'll find thousands of creatures across hundreds of species, including colorful tropical fish, all living in recreated habitats.
Head to SEA LIFE Speyer to see aquatic species from around the planet, including fish, sharks, turtles, and octopi. There's even a recreated shipwreck. A highlight for many guests is the chance to watch the staff feed some of the aquarium’s residents, including the European swamp turtles and the rays.

SEA LIFE Speyer overlooks the Rhine River in the town of Speyer, about a 90-minute drive from Stuttgart and an hour and 15 minutes from Frankfurt. To reach the aquarium via transportation, take a city shuttle bus to the Festplatz (Fairground) stop and walk to SEA LIFE through the Dome garden.
SEA LIFE Speyer is open daily throughout the year, including public holidays, and is only closed on Christmas Eve. Last entry is one hour before closing, and animal feedings take place throughout the day. The aquarium is busiest on weekends and school holidays; arrive early to beat the crowds.
Speyer is one of the oldest cities in Germany and offers plenty of things to see and do. Highlights include Historisches Museum der Pfalz Speyer, a regional history museum offering plenty of interactive, family-friendly exhibits, and the Technik Museum, which has a large collection of vintage cars and aircraft. Architecture fans will also appreciate the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Speyer Cathedral, which dates back to the 11th century.
