Ramoji Film City

Launched in 1996, the 1,666-acre (674-hectare) Ramoji Film City is the world's largest film complex. Tour studio lots, sets, and gardens to see where Bollywood and film celebs have shot scenes. Try activities at the skating rink, children’s play area, bird park, and family-friendly amusement park, Fundustan.
Guests of all ages stay busy at Ramoji on the film-themed rides, tours, and beyond. Visit shops stocked with movie memorabilia, watch live performances (including stunt shows), and sample food from five themed restaurants, offering everything from Indian fare to American diner-style food. Ramoji Film Center is located about 19 miles (30 kilometers), a 45-minute drive southeast of Hyderabad in the South Indian state of Telangana. The nearest public bus stop is about 45 minutes away, making public transit an unreliable option. However, Ramoji does offer round-trip bus transportation from Hyderabad and back, but note that buses run on a fixed schedule and start early in the morning.
The park is open daily throughout the year. The best time to visit weather-wise is October through March, when it tends to be cooler and dryer. The Hyderabad area can be very hot in April and May and quite rainy in monsoon season (June through September). Crowds are fewest first thing in the morning, particularly on weekdays.
If you happen to be visiting over certain Indian festivals, you're in for a special treat. From Dussehra (Navratri) to Diwali, the park offers a whole slew of extras, from carnival-style parades to intricate light displays along with live performances.
