Playa de Alcudia

Along with swimming and sunbathing, water sports are the premier activities at Playa de Alcudia. You can rent kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, or pedal boats, or opt for an exhilarating Jet Ski adventure. Umbrellas and sun loungers are available to rent for the day—it’s a good idea to bring cash as vendors don’t typically accept cards. While the beach isn’t a party place, a handful of restaurants, bars, and hotels sit behind it, accessible via the promenade.

From the island capital of Palma de Mallorca, you can take the A32 bus to the Pla del Pinar 2 stop, a 10-minute walk from the beach. If you’re driving from the airport, take the Ma-13 highway for 40 minutes—it’s a well-maintained road.

Thanks to its vastness, Playa de Alcudia rarely feels overcrowded, even in the summer months (June–September), when Mallorca sees an influx of crowds enjoying the European summer holidays. Visit in the shoulder months of May or October for still-warm weather without the high price tags.
