Pafos Zoo

The Pafos Zoo breeds and releases endangered endemic species and also houses a wide variety of animals. Visit the park’s ocelot, wallabys, and lions; feed the giraffes; watch birds of prey in action; and learn about ecology from staff zookeepers. The zoo also offers two on-site museums, one dedicated to natural history, the other to Cypriot art and ceramics. Guests can buy tickets on site or pre-book ticket-and-transport packages that include shuttle transfers from the city of Paphos.

Pafos Zoo is approximately a half-hour drive north of the city Paphos. There is lots of free on-site parking, and the zoo can call taxis on behalf of guests without cars. During busy seasons, the zoo also runs a shuttle service that stops by major hotels; reservations are required.

The zoo is open 365 days a year, and hours vary seasonally. During the summer, you’ll want to visit first thing in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy the park before the temperature soars.

Spend a morning learning about local sea life at the Lara Bay Turtle Conservation Station or the Protaras Ocean Aquarium, then head to the Cyprus Historic and Classic Motor Museum, or let loose and splash around at Limassol's Fasouri Watermania Waterpark or at WaterWorld in Ayia Napa.
