Nathan Road, one of Kowloon’s main thoroughfares, runs in a south-north direction from Tsim Sha Tsui to Sham Shui Po. It’s a shopper’s paradise, where you can find everything from large malls to designer boutiques to electronics shops, as well as extensive dining, entertainment, and nightlife options.
Stretching for 2.2 miles (3.6) kilometers from Salisbury Road to Boundary Street, Nathan Road is the oldest street in Kowloon and is sometimes referred to as the Golden Mile. Shopping is the main draw to Nathan Road, and the area is best explored on foot, independently or with a guided shopping and market tour. You can also combine a stroll along Nathan Road with a hop-on hop-off bus tour or a Victoria Harbor Cruise.

Nathan Road is located in Kowloon. A number of MTR stops run underneath Nathan Road, including the Tsim Sha Tsui, Jordan, Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok, and Prince Edward stations. A number of buses and minibuses also stop on or near Nathan Road.
Nathan Road is pretty much always bustling. Many shops stay open as late as midnight, so this is a good place for some late-night shopping. Plenty of food, entertainment, and nightlife options are open past midnight as well. Visiting at night is also the best time to appreciate all the dazzling neon lights along the road.
Kowloon is also well known for a number of street markets, many of which are located near Nathan Road. Popular markets include the Temple Street Night Market, the Ladies Market, Goldfish Market, Yuen Po Street Bird Garden, and the Jade Market.
