The museum is housed in the same building as the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent, which was founded in 2002 and offered a smaller selection of displays before the museum opened. Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris is open Tuesday to Sunday from late morning to early evening, with extended evening hours on Fridays. Reserved group tours take place in the mornings before the museum is open to the public.
