Incheon Grand Park

Spanning 727 acres (294 hectares), Incheon Grand Park is the largest urban park in Incheon. Situated between Gwanmosan Mountain and Sangasan Mountain, the park is a popular destination for residents to enjoy the outdoors year-round and offers a variety of gardens, an arboretum, a lake, and a children’s zoo, among other facilities.

Incheon offers a nature escape for residents and visitors to Incheon. Stroll or bike around on the many pathways, enjoy a picnic by the lake, or explore a variety of gardens, including a rose garden, wild plant garden, rock garden, and sculpture garden, along with an arboretum, wildflower field, and wetlands. There’s also a children’s zoo, free library, an in-line skating rink, and Future Environment Hall. In the winter, visitors can also enjoy sledding on the hills around the park.

  • There’s no entrance fee to access Incheon Grand Park.

  • It’s possible to camp at the park, with already established tents.

  • Restaurants can be found just outside the park.

Incheon Grand Park is located in the Namdong-gu district of Incheon, east of the city center. By public transportation, take the subway Line 1 to Songnae Station and use exit 1, or take bus no 103, 16-1, or 909. You can also take a taxi or drive to the park, with parking available on-site.

Incheon Grand Park is open daily, with summer operating hours from 5am to 11pm and winter hours from 5am to 10pm. Parking fees are collected from March to October between 1am and 9pm and from November to February between 8am and 10pm. The zoo, arboretum, and Future Environment Hall are closed every Monday. Visit in the spring for cherry blossoms and in the fall to go leaf-peeping.

Located northwest of Incheon Grand Park, near the harbor, Jayu Park (or Freedom Park) is another great spot to view cherry blossoms in the spring. The first Western-style park in Korea, Jayu Park also offers fantastic views from its hilltop and is home to a small zoo, a pagoda, a statue of General MacArthur, and the Korea-USA Centennial Monument.
