Hurghada Marina

The majority of Red Sea boat tours depart from the marina. Options range from snorkeling excursions to the Giftun Islands; glass-bottom, submarine, and dolphin-watching tours; watersports; and scuba diving trips. The marina is a common start point for desert safaris and also features on many Hurghada city tours, which typically include time to shop and sightsee. Other popular marina-based activities include 1001 Arabian Nights-themed shows and waterfront dinner-and-transfer packages.

Hurghada Marina is situated just south of central Hurghada. The easiest way to get there is by cabs or via the complimentary shuttles operated by select hotels. Most boat and desert tours that leave from the marina include handy round-trip hotel transfers.

The best time to visit Hurghada Marina depends on your interests; waterfront shops are generally open in the mornings and from mid-afternoon onward, although many restaurants open from late morning until the evening. The waterfront is busiest,at night, when restaurants, bars, and entertainment spots are in full swing.

Shops and restaurants aside, there’s plenty else to enjoy in and around Hurghada Marina. Stroll beyond the northern end to see the El Mina Masjid—an ornate, multi-domed mosque that looks extra-beautiful when floodlit. Alternatively, catch a movie at the marina’s 7D cinema; hurtle into the air on the waterfront bungee rocket; or take a break at the beach club, home to white sands and a swimming pool.
