How to get there
Huis Ten Bosch is located on Hario Island in Sasebo City. Take the high-speed JR Seaside Liner or a regular train from Nagasaki Station. From Nagasaki Airport, there’s a high-speed direct boat service. On weekends and holidays, bus service is also available. There’s also paid parking on-site.
When to get there
The resort is open year-round. Visit late in the day to take advantage of special discounted tickets. The resort also holds numerous special events throughout the year. Popular events include the Tulip Festival in the spring, Fireworks Festival in the summer, Halloween in the fall, and the Kingdom of Light in the winter.

Huis Ten Bosch is probably the most popular attraction in Sasebo, but there are plenty of other attractions worth visiting for those with more time. Other highlights include the Saikai Pearl Sea Resort amusement park, Kujukushima Aquarium, Morikirara Zoological Park and Botanical Garden, and the forested Kujukushima Islands.
