Though the building only dates back to the 13th or 14th century, it is believed that this site historically held Muslim baths, given its location near the former mosque (now the Santa Ana Church) and the water cisterns discovered underground here. At the time of the Reconquista, when Granada was occupied by the Christians in the 15th century, it is likely that the use of these baths—along with many other Muslim traditions—ended.

Hammam Al Ándalus Granada is a 1998 re-creation of what a hammam in those times might have looked like. Various rooms hold cold, warm, and hot pools, and the complex has a steam room and a relaxation room where you can sip traditional Arabic mint tea. During a typical 1.5-hour visit, you’ll have the opportunity to use these different areas and enjoy a massage of up to 60 minutes. Combination tours that include the Alhambra and the hammam are available.
