For a dose of good, old-fashioned fun, there are few better places to go than Funland, a family-owned amusement park right on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. A beloved beachside landmark since 1962, the park has a delightfully vintage feel, from its retro rides to its arcade games (with throwback prices, too).
One of the most popular attractions on Rehoboth Beach’s boardwalk, Funland has been a summertime staple for Delaware residents and visitors for more than 60 years. Still home to five of its original 1962 rides, the park offers a carousel and plenty of attractions for the youngest visitors. These days, it also provides some more daring thrills, including the Superflip360 and FreeSpin, which appeal to older riders.
But for all it’s grown since its founding, the theme park hasn’t lost its old-timey charm. In addition to its rides, Funland offers a range of midway and arcade games, where kids and adults can put their competitive spirit to the test (and maybe even walk away with prizes).
The park is free for all to enter, but you need to purchase tickets for rides; the tickets never expire.

Funland is at 6 Delaware Avenue on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. Downtown Rehoboth Beach is very pedestrian-friendly, and taxis and rideshare services offer an additional way to get there.
The park is open seasonally, typically from mid-May to mid-September, seven days a week, though the hours can vary. Some of the outdoor rides and attractions may close during rainy or inclement weather.
Once you’ve visited Funland—and strolled past the shops and attractions of Rehoboth Beach’s boardwalk—make the most of the rest of this seaside town. Hit the beach for sunbathing and swimming, visit Cape Henlopen State Park for idyllic nature trails, and take in free summer concerts at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand.
