Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park

In the wooded hills of Tennessee, near the Great Smoky Mountains, sits the Foxfire Adventure Park with zip lines, rope courses, and a suspension bridge. Participate in adrenaline-fueled activities made for thrill-seeking travelers, including a climbing wall. For young kids, there’s an on-site playground and gem-mining treasure hunt area.
Built on a former East Tennessee farm, the Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park showcases the natural beauty of the area that borders the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Fly through the air via multiple zip line courses, including the Goliath, which is more than 500 feet high (152 meters). Scramble up the climbing wall, which boasts five lanes of varying difficulties. Or, enjoy a calm walk on the park’s hiking trails with your furry friend.
The zipline courses have weight restrictions and require participants to wear closed-toe shoes.
Look for a statue of Dolly Parton, a Sevierville native, downtown by the courthouse.

In Sevierville, Tennessee, along the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Foxfire Adventure Park is a 30-minute drive from Gatlinburg and 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge. While there is public transit within Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, you’ll need to rent a car to reach the park from those cities.
Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park is open daily from morning to early evening. Tours run in the rain, but not if there’s lighting or high winds. The state’s mountainous areas, such as Gatlinburg, are good to visit any time. Summer is the busiest, and it's also when the Great Smoky Mountain National Park sees the most visitors. It’s generally hot and humid in summer, but it is cooler in the Smokies, especially at night.
Located close to Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park, Dollywood is a family-friendly theme park among the Smoky Mountains of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Named for owner and country music legend Dolly Parton, it has more than 50 rides and attractions, live shows, and several large seasonal festivals inspired by Parton and the history of the Smoky Mountains.
