The market is located just north of the sprawling Mysore Palace, an 8-minute walk past the Choti Ghadiyar clock tower. It's easy to get to the market on foot. If you arrive by taxi or rickshaw, ask to be dropped off at the edge of the market and walk in through one of the multiple entrances.
The market opens daily at 7am and stays open until 8:30pm. It's at its busiest first thing in the morning and again in the evening, when locals come to shop for dinner ingredients. It can get especially crowded during religious festivals, when flowers are in high demand for use in ritual worship.
