DAOU Vineyards

DAOU Vineyards offers a range of different tasting experiences, all of which can be reserved online ahead of your visit. To taste and enjoy glasses of wine worry-free, you’ll need a designated driver, or book a Paso Robles wine tour with round-trip transport that makes a tasting stop at DAOU. Wine tours can be booked in shared groups, semi-private groups, and private groups, depending on your preference and budget.

• The standard wine-tasting flight fee at DAOU Vineyards is US$50, which is pricier than some of the other Paso Robles wineries (and some other California wineries in general), but many locals and travelers say it’s definitely worth the cost.

• Although the winery is known for its Bordeaux varietals, it also offers a few white wines.

• DAOU Vineyards’ 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon received a 91 in Wine Enthusiast and is worth at least tasting while you’re there—if not purchasing, too.

• The winery offers culinary pairings for purchase daily, as well as pizza on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

DAOU Vineyards is about 17 minutes by car from Downtown Paso Robles: take 12th Street to Vine Street and then Adelaida Road to Hidden Mountain Road. There is a large parking area at the winery where a concierge directs you where to park.

Although many visitors come to DAOU Vineyards in the summer, the fall offers pretty picturesque winery views and still boasts warm weather. In fact, October is Harvest Wine Month, when Paso Robles wineries celebrate the year’s great harvest—the region’s wineries typically host events to mark the occasion.

After your daytime winery visits are done, spend an evening at Sensorio Paso Robles. This immersive art exhibit is a truly unique experience among the hills, which meshes art, technology, and nature. Spend time walking the paths through the exhibit, which features more than 100,000 light bulbs. The experience is perfect for all ages.
