On the outskirts of Ashland, a city best known for hosting the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Belle Fiore is a sprawling winery with multiple tasting rooms and dining options, plus a massive main building that resembles a castle. It produces a variety of wines—including Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat—in French, Spanish, and Italian styles.
Most people who visit Belle Fiore Winery come to check out one or more of the three main tasting spaces, one of which—the Calypso Wine Bar & Mountainview Terrace—offers fine dining at lunch and dinner. If you plan to imbibe, it’s wise to visit on a private wine-tasting tour that includes transportation, so that you won’t have to worry about appointing a designated driver (or resorting to spit buckets).

- The estate is wheelchair accessible, though the vineyards may be difficult for visitors in wheelchairs to navigate.
Belle Fiore is located in the eastern suburbs of Ashland, Oregon, about a 15-minute drive from Ashland's compact downtown. Many visitors opt to drive, as public transportation links aren't available, though you can also arrive by bicycle (the journey takes around 30 minutes). A wine-tasting tour is the best option if all members of your party plan to drink.
Belle Fiore is accessible year-round, though the weather in this part of Oregon is at its finest in late summer or during the early fall harvest season. The Pavilion Tasting Room and the Calypso Wine Bar are open in the afternoon and early evening from Wednesday to Sunday. The Chateau Tasting Room is open on Sundays, with two seatings.
The Rogue Valley, where Belle Fiore is located, is one of the prime wine-producing regions in Oregon, and is known for its Burgundies, Merlots, and Cabernets. As such, it’s a great place for wine-tasting adventures, with many great wineries to check out. Popular options include Weisinger Family Winery, a lodge-like tasting room, and South Stage Cellars in the tiny winery-filled town of Jacksonville.
