Bear Lake Road leads from the Beaver Meadows entrance through Moraine Park to Bear Lake. Several trails offering a range of hiking opportunities begin at Bear Lake, including trails to Dream Lake (1.1 mi.), Emerald Lake (1.8 mi.) and Lake Haiyaha (2.1 mi.). Elk herd sightings are common in the spring and fall in Moraine Park. Horseback riding is available at Sprague Lake and Moraine Park. Picnicking is permitted.
