Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park

Taman Mount Austin, Jalan Austin Heights 8/1 No. 71, Johor Bahru, Johor

More than just a water park, Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park is a 3-in-1 park. A rope course with seven levels and over 50 obstacles delivers adventure. Slides, wave pools, boomerangs, and racer bowls form the water-park element. Go-karts, synthetic ice skating, and the Jump Street trampoline zone make up the leisure section.

Buy tickets for the water park, the Adventure Park (rope course), the Jump Street trampoline park, the ice-skating rink, and the Drift go-kart session individually or as combo packages. You can even buy monthly or annual passes to some park areas. There are discounts for people over 60 years of age and children under 4 feet tall (120 centimeters tall), plus hefty discounts for children born within the last three calendar years. Travelers visit both from Johor Bahru and from Singapore, across the causeway.

  • Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park is a great choice for families with kids of all ages.

  • Children should be at least 4 feet 7 inches tall (140 centimeters tall) to brave the Adventure Park with its high-wire rope course, and at least 3 feet 3 inches tall (100 centimeters tall) for the Drift go-kart race.

  • Save money by wearing the right clothes. Bring sports shoes and gloves for the Adventure Park rope course and socks with grip for Jump Street trampoline zone.

  • Austin Heights does not allow outside food and drink, but there are a range of dining outlets, all pork-free.

  • Weight restrictions apply to some rides and slides. These kick in at a lower threshold than American travelers would expect—from 220 pounds (100 kilograms).

  • Rides are generally not suitable for travelers who use wheelchairs.

Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park is located in the Mt. Austin area to the north of Johor Bahru, about 11 miles (17 kilometers) north of the causeway that links the city to Singapore. The easiest way to get here is to drive or join a tour.

Austin Heights Water & Adventure Park is a popular school-vacation trip for locals and visitors from nearby Singapore. It’s open from morning to early evening seven days a week, but most travelers will want to beat the lines by visiting during the working week outside school vacations.

Many overseas families head to Austin Heights specifically for the water park. Zones here include a wave pool, Splash World, which targets younger children with shallow waters and smaller slides, and more adventurous rides accessed from three main towers. The Yellow Wall, a thrilling, boomerang-style slide for multiple riders, is the water park’s highest adventure.
