Aqualand Corfu Water Park

Agios Ioannis, Corfu

Aqualand Corfu Water Park is the island’s largest, most popular water park, with themed areas catering to fun-seeking visitors of all ages. Stretching across almost 3 acres (1.2 hectares), this family-friendly spot is home to water rides and slides, lazy rivers, and swimming pools for an action-packed day in the sun.

Families flock to this water park for a refreshing break from the summer temperatures on Corfu, so book your tickets in advance to avoid a long wait to get in. There are activities for kids from tots to teens, as well as for adventurous adults.

Young children can enjoy shallow pools with gentle showers, play splashy games on Fantasy Island, and explore the Caribbean Pirate Adventure Pool; meanwhile, there's a dedicated area for visitors aged 8 and up, with giant slides, hot tubs, a lazy river, and a wave pool. Adrenaline buffs can get their kicks from six extreme water rides ranging from the spiraling Hydrotube to the thrilling Free Fall Plus, which plunges vertically for 80 feet (24 meters) into deep water.

  • With dedicated areas for different age groups, Aqualand Corfu Water Park is an ideal family break.
  • Facilities include plenty of free sunbeds and umbrellas for shade.
  • There are changing rooms, showers, and lockers for rent.
  • Eateries from snack bars to a fast-food restaurant are scattered throughout the park.
  • Be sure to bring your swimsuit, towel, and flip-flops, though the park has a small shop that sells swimwear, sunscreen, pool toys, and anything else you may need.
  • The park is wheelchair accessible and there is an adapted bathroom.
  • Lifeguards are on duty at all the pools and slides; there is a minimum height requirement for some of the slides and rides.

Aqualand is 3 miles (5 kilometers) from Corfu Town in the center of the island. Take the no. 8 bus from San Rocco Square or a taxi from anywhere in town. The park can also be visited as part of a half-day, family-focused driving tour or shore excursion from the island’s cruise port.

The water park is only open seasonally, between May and October, and is open daily. The slides and pools can be uncomfortably crowded on weekends and school holidays, so visit on a weekday morning if you can, to avoid the throngs and long lines for rides.

For more fun in the water, you can head for one of the island’s beaches that are well-suited for families with young children. Among the most famous are Glyfada, Kontogialos, and Agios Gordioson, on the central west coast. All three have long stretches of sand with beach clubs where you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, along with snack bars and traditional tavernas. As with all west coast beaches, avoid visiting on windy days.
