Antalya Marina (Kaleici Yat Limani)

Varyant Sokak, Muratpaşa, Antalya, TUR

Antalya Marina (Kaleiçi Yat Limanı) is the heart of the city. It stretches along the waterfront beneath the steep cobbled streets of Antalya’s Old Town, known as Kaleiçi. With cruise ships, ferries, yachts, and fishing boats constantly arriving and departing, this historic harbor is buzzing with activity at all hours and is a popular hub for both locals and visitors.

Boat cruises—ranging from luxury charter yachts to pirate ship party cruises—set sail from Antalya Marina and ply the Mediterranean coast. A popular cruise destination is nearby Duden Waterfalls, but there are also plenty of options for swimming, snorkeling, or scuba diving. Many sightseeing tours of Antalya also include a stroll around the marina or explore on your own.

  • The marina is a must-visit to get a feel for how local fishermen still make a living bringing in the daily catch or for anyone wishing to take a harbor cruise.

  • There are public restrooms and a number of cafés and restaurants along the marina.

  • The docks area can be slippery, so watch your step if you’re heading down to the waterfront on foot or boarding a boat from the jetty.

  • The marina is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers; take the elevator from Cumhuriyet Boulevard.

You'll find Antalya Marina along the seafront, on the western edge of the Old Town of Kaleiçi. Although taxis will drop you nearby, the only way to reach the marina is on foot: Steep flights of stairs run down from Kaleiçi and an elevator operates from Cumhuriyet Boulevard. It’s a 10-minute walk from Hadrian’s Gate.

Arrive in the early morning to watch fishing boats return with the day’s catch, or in the evening for a sunset stroll around the marina and then dinner at one of the seafood restaurants with a view across the harbor.

Kaleiçi’s maze-like streets, dotted with ancient ruins and historic monuments, offer an atmospheric backdrop for a walking tour. Don’t miss Hadrian’s Gate, the last of Antalya’s ancient city walls; the 18th-century Mehmet Paşa mosque; the Selçuk-era Fluted Minaret; and the old Clock Tower, which also forms part of the ancient walls. Allow time to browse the souvenir shops and markets, visit the Kaleiçi Museum, and stop at a bar or café.
