Safari West is at 3115 Porter Creek Rd. Guided tours of the 400-acre wildlife preserve, home to more than 900 exotic animals and birds, are conducted by a naturalist in open-air safari vehicles. The preserve's residents include giraffes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, Cape buffalo, gazelles and elands. You'll also visit an open-air aviary and walk through an animal compound for up-close meetings with cheetahs and primates. Children under 4 are not permitted on the classic safari tour. Pets are not permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 3 hours minimum.
