Museum Mile hosts the Guggenheim, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and sundry other artistic and cultural institutions. The Upper West Side is a little more laid back but still rife with pricey residences and civilizing establishments including Lincoln Center, The Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Opera House.
Heading north, you can reflect in The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, the world’s largest Gothic cathedral located in Morningside Heights, or take in the myriad music venues of Harlem. And if you're simply in the mood to relax, the Heather Garden in Fort Tryon Park is a great spot.
