Two other resources, water and wildflowers, have helped make Burnet a popular recreation center. Nine miles west via SR 29 is Inks Lake State Park, where 1,200 acres of woodlands and wildflowers border the lake; phone (512) 793-2223. The visitor center at nearby Lake Buchanan offers a panoramic view.
